The simple home gift guide

Intentional gifts for those looking to slow down, savor their tea and reduce the meaningless clutter in their homes.

This guide is not about adding excess, rather it’s about adding intentional pieces that support your desire for the home: to be a place of warmth, community and healing. At the end of a productive, maybe even stressful day, the home should be your place of rest and comfort, not an unintentional, cluttered place that adds more stress.

The list of items below was specifically curated to help you turn your home into your safe(and cozy) space.

  1. Pure beeswax candles: The easiest way to add warmth and coziness to your home. I prefer to burn pure beeswax candles, as they purify the air rather than fill it with toxic, synthetic fragrances.

  2. Candle Holders: These ones are simple, affordable and easy to clean!

  3. Non-toxic + Non-stick Caraway Bakeware: Caraway NEVER goes on sale, so this is such a steal. I have their cookware and bakeware and I’ve really enjoyed both. But for making bread, muffins, cookies, roasting veggies and essentially everything in the oven, I’ve been absolutely blown away by their bakeware. It’s reliable, non-toxic(very important for our family) and incredibly easy to clean.

  4. Throws/blankets: Such a great way to add some color and coziness to your home.

  5. Lamps: I just put a small lamp in my kitchen for the first time and it instantly made the space more warm and charming!

  6. Pique Teas: A morning, afternoon or evening ritual that supports everyone’s desire to slow down during the holidays. I love their Matcha and Rooibos tea. It’s triple screened for heavy metals and you can taste the quality.

  7. Caraway Non-Toxic, Non-Stick Pans or Bakeware: they are worth the hype, let me tell you that. Not only are they beautiful, but they make the cooking and cleaning process so much easier. We’re a family that cooks almost every meal at home and they’ve been such a intentinal and helpful addition.

  8. Tea Kettle: I love my electric tea kettle, it makes my desire for tea time become an easy reality.

  9. Greenery/plant: Purify your air, support your central nervous system and bring life into your home during the chilly, dark months.

  10. Slippers: I have a strict NO SHOES IN THE HOME policy. Not only do they add clutter, but they bring in dirt, grime and toxins, all things I work hard to keep out of my home.

  11. ARO Box - a home for your phone: Out of sight, out of mind is a real thing! This aesthetic and convening phone box + their yearly subscription to support healthy phone habits has been a game changer for us. It takes away the temptation and made it easy to just put the phone down and be done with it regularly.

  12. Water Filters: Nothing fancy, just clean water. I have some kind of water filter item or accessory on my list every year.

  13. Bath Salts and accessories: There is an art to bathing. It is obviously a very relaxing practice, but it can also detox and heal you if you know these tips and tricks:

Epsom salts: Adding just a cup to your bath can support relaxation and detoxification

Baking Soda: Adding 1/2 cup can soothe your skin and support healthy detoxification as well

Bath Bombs: Instant upgrade! Bluecorn Beeswax Candles also sells these and they are top notch.

Bath Tray(to hold your beeswax candle)

Bath Filter: This is a great, affordable option that lowers the toxic load that’s present in your tap water.

Bathroom Lamp: Again, adding a lamp to any space instantly warms it up. KOZE Redlight has fantastic amber light bulbs that mimic fire-light.

  14. Bread Accessories: Is it just me or is “making homemade bread” on everyone’s list for 2024? You can gift them a dutch oven, a 100-year-old starter from Etsy or just add to their bread accessories collection.

  15. Wooden Spoons: they are simple, beautiful and enrich our meals

  16. Branch Basics: Gift someone with a multi-use, non-toxic Starter Kit from Branch Basics.

  17. Books: Here’s a great list to choose from if you’re looking for some simple living inspiration!

  18. Puzzles and Games: A great way to spend your time without technology! My favorite is the Hygge conversation card game.
